The Summer of Liam

One of Liam's new favorite things to do (besides walk around .... I mean RUN around the house finding plastic cups, tupperware, or dishes to play with is to be in the water .... or as he calls it "agua!"  So what did we do .... we signed him up for swimming lessons!!  Liam has LOVED every moment of his swim lessons .... even going UNDER water!  YIKES!  That was a bit heart wrenching for me when the instructor said, "Ok, now after we pick them up we're going to have the babies go under the water!"  My heart stopped but the kid LOVES being in the water!  He's been to swim lessons for a few weeks so here are a few pictures from each lesson!

Liam really loves swimming lessons with daddy!
Oh my goodness!  There he is!  Under water!!!

Learning how to blow bubbles from the coach!!!
He went down the slide and UNDER the water .... daddy was at the bottom to catch him.  This kid is in HEAVEN!
This part reminds me of a pirate... Liam walked the plank!
We're glad you're here today!

Sea World

I started a tradition with my brother's 2 kids last summer where they came to visit me for 2 weeks in San Antonio WITHOUT PARENTS! YIKES!! We had a blast this summer and I have added a few pictures of some of our adventures, including a trip to Sea World where they were both finally tall enough to ride a roller coaster together. They were so excited to get on, they even got my mom to ride with them! Now, they're not my kids so I'm extra cautious not to send them back with cuts, bumps, bruises, or scrapes (so their parents will think I'm a good guardian); so in the picture you see me holding onto my brother's kids for dear life! Oh it makes me crack up!

I had a great 2 weeks with these kiddos and even though I'm exhausted, I sure do miss them while I'm away! Thanks for all the laughs James and Jocey, I'm already resting up for next summer's 'Camp Na'!

Our Big Europe Adventure!

Well, our European Adventure was simply AMAZING! We visited England, Belgium, Netherlands, and France and loved all 17 days of it! We had an amazing host family in England (Thanks Blechers!) who were wonderful to let us stay with them for a week and showed us in and around their side of England. We then moved on from England to Brussels where we stayed in the center of town and saw all the sights; went on to Brugge which ended up being my favorite stop; Amsterdam didn't tickle my fancy very much; and finally ended our trip in Paris! I posted pictures of everything on my facebook account for family and friends to see! Glad to be back in the states!

Here is a picture of our house taken last week. As you can see they are moving right along with all of the external finishings coming up in a flash! That same week they finished the insulation, put up sheet rock, and finished the dry wall in the interior.
